Howell Mayor Pro Tem Steve Manor Endorsement

Steve Manor, a teacher who retired from the Howell Public Schools in 1998, was elected to the city council in 1999. Steve earned his Bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University in 1963 and began his 34+ year teaching career on the west side of the state. In 1966 Steve accepted a teaching position in Howell in the old Michigan Avenue school on the site where the U.S. Post Office building is currently located. Later he taught at the Highlanderway Middle School and then the High School. Steve and his family moved into the city in 1969.

 In 2000 Steve was appointed Mayor Pro Tem. Currently, he serves as chair of the Howell Brownfield Redevelopment Authority and as Howell's delegate to the South East Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG). At SEMCOG Steve serves on the Executive Committee as Livingston County's city/village representative and as Vice Chair of the Finance and Budget Committee.{ Steve info Source: www.cityofhowell.org}
